Our final blog assignment lecture will be given by Mr. Mustafa and I've already guessed that this will be a short lecture because Mr. Mustafa told us that Mr. Radzi Bedu will come and brief us about our last assignment. So today's topic will be in advertising.
Advertising is the common thing to us. We can found advertisement around us easily! Advertisement seems to be everywhere. As our population increases, the amount of advertisement rises too. It seems like a "spam" and "cookies" to all of us but we're used to it! Just look at the data on the slide that our lecturer gives us to watch. In US, 14 to 24 year old people will spend more than 16 hours online per week. 56% of them spend more than 1 hour daily sending IM's, 25% prefer social networks to F2F, 96% uses a social network daily. Just look at this, we'll able to understand why advertisement's amount shoot up rapidly in such a short time. Advertisement not only benefits us from learning something new but also make the company or whoever make it. As population increases, active people will increases too as u can see from this chart.
When people become more active, there are more people tend to exposed to advertisement. As I said, advertisement benefits both user and maker, that's why it increases so much. Just for an simple example how to prove advertisement had increases. Everyone knows Youtube right? Did you notice that there always be a advertisement bar like this? Ya, they put it there so you might just happen to click it and sees it advertisement! Not only that, famous blog will get lots of advertisement surrounded because when there're lots of people, there will be a possibility to get watched.
But the important part is also the creativity of the advertisement. Everything is about creativity because we live in a creative world! Why creativity is important to advertisement? Look at these, to you feel bored?
or do u rather to choose to watch this kind of advertisement?
It is interesting yet obvious what it is implying. But to make an success and interesting advertisement, it is a hard work. It requires lots of creativity because their target is not only people, but the people around the whole world unlike assignments for student which their aim is only for lecturer. For me, I would like to watch interesting advertisement because it is interesting!
Mr. Mustafa also let us watch a short video about TED Talk given by Mr. Renny Gleeson. It is about 404 error page. Does this sound familiar to you? It does to me because I've encounter lots of 404 page before. Like I just mention, an interesting advertisement would attract me so why not make everything into something new, fresh, creative and interesting! When we receive a 404 page, although it doesn't seems impolite, but we're still angry because it's a 404 page! Like Mr. Renny Gleeson said, why not we make it interesting? Just like this!
It is wonderful and we didn't get annoyed right? This is where creativity took place and this is why creativity in also an important material for making an advertisement. I shall end my post here and it's finally the time to say BYE BYE~
